Partnering for Success: Government
Through the federal Economy Act, SAIC-Frederick’s advanced technology services are available to scientists in federal agencies other than the National Cancer Institute.
If You're with the Government
Under the Economy Act, SAIC-Frederick is authorized to provide leading-edge technology to government agencies other than the National Cancer Institute.
Along with this comes the opportunity to partner with our biomedical research scientists and potentially extend your inquiries into promising new directions.
In addition, the NCI's Advanced Technology Partnerships Initiative (ATPI) is designed to accelerate the delivery of new products to cancer patients, using a novel business/research model, advanced technologies, and effective public-private partnerships.
Technologies available under the Economy Act include those for genomics, proteomics, imaging, nanotechnology, mouse models, high-throughput screening, biospecimen repositories, high-performance computing and bioinformatics, biopharmaceutical development, current Good Manufacturing Practices manufacturing, associated quality assurance capabilities, and regulatory affairs programs that support Investigational New Drug (IND) applications.
Agencies that have already set up interagency agreements with SAIC-Frederick include the National Institute for Allergy and Infections Diseases (NIAID), the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS).
Once you've had a chance to discuss your project with a program or laboratory director (list ATP, BDP, LASP), you can place your order though your laboratory contact or through one of the following links:
