Partnering for Success: Nonprofit
Through NCI's Advanced Technology Partnerships Initiative and other collaborations, SAIC-Frederick forms strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations to accelerate the pace of cancer and AIDS research.
If You're with a Nonprofit Organization
SAIC-Frederick offers business opportunities and resources through public-private partnerships, direct subcontracting, and other collaboration arrangements through which specialized expertise and technologies can be made available.
The NCI's Advanced Technology Partnerships Initiative (ATPI) is designed to accelerate the delivery of new products to cancer patients, using a novel business/research model, advanced technologies, and effective public's private partnerships.
SAIC-Frederick provides acquisition services for NCI-Frederick and has experienced first-hand how many small businesses can deliver the required product or service on time, in the right quantity, and at a fair and reasonable price. All contracts for the purchase or lease of goods, services, or construction are awarded through competitive bidding or negotiation, or through other processes established by Federal Acquisition Regulation. SAIC-Frederick provides fair and equal treatment to all persons involved in procurement.
Through fee-for-service and collaborative arrangements, SAIC-Frederick can provide highly specialized expertise, services, and facilities to life-science companies, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
To assure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and directives, SAIC-Frederick has prescribed the terms and conditions under which the work can be performed.
Available technologies include those for genomics, proteomics, imaging, nanotechnology, mouse models, high-throughput screening, biospecimen repositories, high-performance computing and bioinformatics, biopharmaceutical development, current Good Manufacturing Practices manufacturing, associated quality assurance capabilities, and regulatory affairs programs that support Investigational New Drug (IND) applications.
